Eye heart fashion

Hello!
So... photography wise I'm trying out fashion.  I've never thought about doing it as a career before so kinda making it up as I go along and using books to help me.  I need to work on lighting etc.  Please tell me where I can improve!!

My favourite has to be finding the locations!  I've found some greats ones in London.  When the light is right it can be incredible with all the textures and aged walls etc.  Yesterday I went for a wander around Angel with an old friend Zoe.  Pap papped then enjoyed a lovely little dinner at a french restaurant.  Great day!  Sadly the sun was popping in and out of clouds every 30 seconds so was near impossible to keep up with the light!  Here are the photos from the shoot.

I loved photographing Zoe as she's obviously a complete stunner!  But also because she's up for hunting out locations and having fun with it.  So was very easy for me.  I actually had an idea of a photograph that I have wanted for a long time but I didn't actually get the shot I was looking for... basically involving steps down from an old building as a girl leaving from a one-nighter.  All dolled up from the night before but slightly messy hair, eyes etc.  Tying up her shoes and doing a runner! I'll try again when I'm in America maybe...  The ones from this shoot the lighting wasn't great sadly.  With no assistant prooving difficult!

Well.  Thank you Zoe for this!  I'll keep updating with more shoots...

Summer fashion

Since I've been back in England I've been getting more into fashion photography and portraits.  I need to build up my portfolio so lovely friends have been helping me do this!
Here is what I've been up to:

This is my new found friend Cher from school.  Actually, we didn't really hang out at school funnily enough!  But we do now and are on a similar wavelength so it's always refreshing to hang out and we have a lot of fun too :)
We found a great location at this abandoned childrens home in West Wycombe.  It's now all been demolished but we broke in just in time to get some great shots.

These are photos from a fashion job I did and some photos of friends.  These last 2 of my wonderful friend Colin are actually a bit old now but I dug them out anyway!  Cutie indeed.

These headshots of Zoe were for her acting portfolio.  We hadn't seen each other for years so enjoyed a catch up in Camden and found a great side street to get these shots in.  No studio for me!  Perfect for my folio too so we planned another day of shooting.... soon to follow!!

Feedback always welcome so let me know where I need to improve!  Thank you for looking xxxx

LA Fabulous

So...  I then made a hasty decision to visit LA after a weekend stopover in Dubai to see Dad and a couple days in London.  Use up the last of them airmiles on virgin;)

That meant 4 continents in 6 days with 14 hour time zone to compete with - phew!  JETLAG!

I met someone special online and wanted to see if it was real so I had to go.  Some may say think I'm crazy - but I just couldn't miss an opportunity to find out...  AND? - best decision I've made :)
Was an amazing experience and a real first for me.
Joey made the trip very memorable with lots of sight seeing.  We stayed in Santa Monica and explored the area.  Plus trips to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, China Town, The Griffith Centre, The Getty Museum etc etc.  Oh I love it in LA!  So much to do and see.

I love these newspaper stands everywhere!

After the trip... I decided it was somewhere I wanted to try out living.  Things back in London just don't seem the same.  And I want to make a go of my career out in sunny LA.  So... I'm off to Dubai in 2 weeks to visit dad again... then non stop LA here we come! I'm going for  3 months (maximum stay on a tourist visa)  We will see how I get on when I'm there...
Until then

Thailand farewell

Back to BKK!

I headed back to Bangkok for a final goodbye and get my things I left with my dear friend Leena.  We ended up spending far too much time on a tiny island called Ko Samet...
My lovely auntie came to stay for over a week too which was amazing.  I loved how well we got to know each other in that time and it was definately a great bonding trip!

Aww - Wifey and I in MBK.  Great day :)  We are faaabulous! haha.

These photos above are from a selection from a walkabout day with auntie val.  Some of my  favourite parts of China town and at Wat Po temple.

The photos below are the girls and I sipping Buckets on Ko Samet. Auntie Val and I chillin' on the beach. ANd some pretty beach shots of our favourite Naga Bar and a muey thai fight.... intense!
It was very sad to say goodbye to Leena after we enjoy each others company so much.  But we will see each other again somewhere!  I will miss my Bangkok life and the wonderful people I met there.  Until another chapter in my life I guess....

Bye Bye to my wonderful Thai Ma and Pa.

Art Dubai

Hi all,

Very delayed I know.  Since my last post I've been to Dubai, Thailand and LA.  I went to Thailand to move out properly - get all my belongings and say goodbye to my old life there.  I stopped off in Dubai to see my dad and go to art dubai.

Here are some photos from this incredible event.  I luckily had a VIP pass from my stepmama so got the fine treatment of shampers darling!  I went to the opening night and then enjoyed the Bastakia in the daytime.  The lighting was breathtaking between the buildings.  I loved the way the art was displayed within each corner and hidden rooms up on the roof.  So amazing... but super hot!
I definately will want to be at this event again next year if I have the chance.  Unfortunately my favourite piece by a chinese artist was like 45k so I think I need to start saving for next year!

GB's yellow shoes!  My new curator friend.

I will continue with my thai run down now...
